Meat Packers Claim Tyson Shortchanged Them

Law360, New York (January 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Tyson Foods Inc. faces a class action suit by workers at its Illinois pork processing facility that seeks more than $5 million in damages for hours they allegedly worked unpaid.

The proposed class includes approximately 2,000 Tyson employees, according to a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois. The complaint said that the plaintiffs plan to seek more than $5 million in damages.
