Miami Condo Board Sues Builders Over Luxury Tower Defects

By Nathan Hale (April 8, 2013, 5:28 PM EDT) -- The condominium association of a luxury high-rise in downtown Miami sued the building's developer and general contractor Thursday in Florida state court, claiming they delivered a flawed finished product that failed to meet building codes.

The owners' board of The Ivy seeks damages, interest and attorneys' fees from Miami River LLC, a corporate entity of Miami-based developer Key International, and from Moss & Associates LLC, which was contracted to build the project, for numerous construction deficiencies it says became apparent only after the developer handed over control of the building to the association in March 2010.
