Lance Armstrong Says Insurer's $12M Suit Barred By Deal

Law360, New York (April 8, 2013, 5:27 PM EDT) -- Lance Armstrong asked a Texas court on Friday to wipe out prize insurer SCA Promotions Inc.'s lawsuit demanding back the $12 million it paid to the cyclist for Tour de France titles that have been stripped away, arguing SCA was trying to wiggle out of a prior settlement agreement.

Armstrong and William Stapleton, a former CEO of Armstrong's management company, told the Dallas County court that the suit should be tossed because SCA was attempting to relitigate an earlier fight over whether Armstrong deserved prize money...
