Netflix Can't Escape ITC Probe Over Parental-Control Patent

Law360, Los Angeles (April 8, 2013, 9:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Thursday refused to toss digital entertainment technology company Rovi Corp.'s claims that Netflix Inc. violated U.S. trade law by selling and importing an application with patent-infringing parental control and program guide technology.

A commission judge denied five summary determination motions made by Netflix, ruling that issues of material fact remained over claims in the patent dispute.
