Apple Settles Video-On-Demand Patent Spat

Law360 (January 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- An early video-on-demand pioneer-turned-patent-holding company has agreed to toss Apple Inc. from a suit that accuses Apple, Google Inc. and Napster Inc. of trampling a single patent now that the company and the computer giant have settled.

Apple and now-defunct tech company Intertainer Inc. both agreed to the dismissal on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham, who is overseeing the case, must still greenlight the dismissal.
