LA Light-Rail Agency Sued Over 'Deficient' Enviro Report

Law360, Los Angeles (April 10, 2013, 5:57 PM EDT) -- The agency building a 24-mile light-rail mass transit line in the Los Angeles suburbs was hit with a lawsuit on Monday alleging it has failed to sufficiently analyze the “devastating” impact the project will have on traffic in the city of Pomona.

The city's suit challenges the final environmental impact report for the second phase of the project, which the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority approved last month, as “legally deficient.” The extension will run from the city of Pasadena in Los Angeles County...
