WebEx Sued Over Internet Meeting Technology

Law360, New York (October 20, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Rivals in the online conferencing industry are headed to court after Raindance Communications Inc. sued WebEx Inc. over its patents for replaying recorded internet meetings and their associated audio.

Online communications company Raindance filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, seeking declaratory judgment of WebEx’s infringement, a permanent injunction and treble damages for willfulness. It also accused WebEx of inducing infringement by others.
