Ceglia Loses Bid To Ship Facebook Fraud Case Upstate

Law360, New York (April 11, 2013, 1:18 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday shot down a bid by Paul Ceglia, who claims a deal with Mark Zuckerberg gives him a 50 percent stake in Facebook Inc., to transfer the criminal case accusing him of doctoring his contract with Zuckerberg out of Manhattan.

In a status conference, U.S. District Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. denied Ceglia’s request to have the action moved to New York’s Western District, where Ceglia resides and where his civil suit against Zuckerberg and Facebook is pending, according to...
