SouthernLINC Dismissed From Cellular Patent Case

Law360, New York (January 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has dismissed Southern Communications Services Inc. from a lawsuit in which patent-holding company Minerva Industries Inc. accused numerous big players in the cellular industry of infringing its patent for a mobile entertainment and communication device.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas dismissed Southern Communications, which does business as SouthernLINC Wireless, from the case on Wednesday.
