NJ Fund Sues State National For Zoning Dispute Coverage

Law360, New York (April 11, 2013, 5:39 PM EDT) -- Government insurance collective Middlesex County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund has launched a suit in New Jersey state court claiming State National Insurance Co. Inc. has refused to cover excess costs it incurred defending South Amboy, N.J., in underlying zoning litigation.

According to the fund's April 4 complaint filed in Middlesex County, State National has wrongfully refused to cover the more than $1 million in defense and indemnity costs that the fund racked up defending South Amboy, the city's zoning board and its former mayor, John O'Leary...
