Alstom Seeks Arbitration In $33M Fight With Insurer

Law360, New York (April 12, 2013, 6:33 PM EDT) -- Alstom Chile SA has sued an insurer in New York federal court to force arbitration of a $33 million dispute over whether the energy contractor provided defective engineering and construction services that damaged a 370-megawatt power plant in Chile, according to a complaint posted online Friday.

Alstom and Alstom Power Systems SA argue in a suit filed Thursday that they will be irreparably harmed if the New York court doesn't halt litigation that Mapfre Compania de Seguros Generales Chile SA brought in Chile over costly damage...
