House Bill Would Bar Contractors With Tax Debts

Law360, New York (April 15, 2013, 8:31 PM EDT) -- The U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill Monday that would prevent the U.S. government from contracting with companies that owe unpaid taxes.

The Contracting and Tax Accountability Act of 2013, or H.R. 882, passed by a vote of 407-0, while a separate bill that targeted unpaid taxes by federal employees failed to advance.
