Parties In Tainted Pet Food MDL Continue Talks

Law360 (January 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Citing significant progress in settlement talks, a judge has extended the stay of the multidistrict litigation alleging that a number of major U.S. pet food manufacturers and retailers killed or sickened their animals with tainted pet food.

Judge Noel L. Hillman of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey ruled Friday that an order staying the case should be extended until Feb. 14. An initial practice and procedure conference, originally scheduled for Tuesday, will be held that morning, he said.
