Garth Brooks Sued Over Skipped Deals, Unpaid Fees

Law360, New York (April 15, 2013, 8:46 PM EDT) -- Country music star Garth Brooks and his production company sabotaged potential television and film deals that a former business partner helped bring in, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in California state court.

In a complaint filed in California state court, Lisa Sanderson painted a picture of Brooks as "paranoid," accusing him and his television and film production firm Red Strokes Entertainment Inc. of passing over potentially lucrative project deals, stiffing her of a 50 percent cut of producers' fees and withholding a $250,000 bonus payment...
