Kodak's $24M Win In Camera Patent Suit Slammed At 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (April 16, 2013, 8:30 PM EDT) -- Digital camera maker Asia Optical Co. asked the Second Circuit on Tuesday to overturn a more than $24 million win for Eastman Kodak Co. in a dispute over camera patents, saying a judge misinterpreted a licensing agreement between the two.

AO had the right to put Kodak’s patented technology in some cameras it made for other companies without paying a royalty, William T. Bisset of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, a lawyer for the company, said at oral arguments before a panel of judges in Manhattan. ...
