George Clinton Fights Ex-Partner In Funkadelic IP Suit

Law360, New York (April 17, 2013, 2:36 PM EDT) -- Funk icon George Clinton on Monday fought his former business partner and record producer's bid for sanctions in the singer's copyright infringement lawsuit in California, defending claims alleging the producer is selling master recordings from Clinton's band Funkadelic without permission.

Clinton responded to a motion for sanctions brought by Armen Boladian and his Westbound Records Inc. and Bridgeport Music Inc. record companies, who say the singer's lawsuit is meritless and said his continued pursuit of copyright infringement claims against them is harassment.
