Deadly Texas Blast Likely Covered By Insurance, Group Says

Law360, New York (April 18, 2013, 4:20 PM EDT) -- Insurers across the spectrum will likely cover claims from a deadly explosion that ripped apart a fertilizer plant and nearby homes and businesses in West, Texas, on Wednesday night, an insurance industry group said Thursday.

While it's too early to know the full insurance impact of the disaster, there are a number of different policies that could be triggered, according to the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, a group that represents insurers that write more than 40 percent of the country's property casualty insurance....
