FCC’s Nudity, Indecency Policies Face Possible Revamp

Law360, Los Angeles (April 18, 2013, 5:21 PM EDT) -- The Federal Communications Commission's Enforcement Bureau and Office of General Counsel are seeking comments on whether or not the full commission should make changes to its current broadcast indecency policies, according to a document scheduled to be published Friday in the Federal Register.

The filing comes more than two weeks after the FCC announced that, since September 2012, the enforcement bureau has reduced the backlog of pending broadcast indecency complaints by 70 percent. The FCC also said it’d be seeking comments on adopting an “egregious cases...
