DOD Contractors Will Pay $4M After Admitting Invoice Fraud

Law360, New York (April 18, 2013, 7:01 PM EDT) -- Two brothers who owned a defense contracting firm struck a $4.1 million settlement and pled guilty Tuesday in Pennsylvania federal court to defrauding the U.S. government by invoicing personal expenses like car leases and vacations to Jamaica.

William Kuchera, 58, and Ronald Kuchera, 51, each pled guilty to fraud and conspiracy before U.S. District Judge Kim Gibson. The defendants, who face up to 15 years in prison, were each released on $10,000 bond. Sentencing was set for October.
