Walgreen Hawked Bogus Joint Health Supplements, Suit Says

Law360, New York (April 22, 2013, 2:04 PM EDT) -- Walgreen Co. and Delaware-based Naturade Operating Corp. were hit with a proposed class action Friday in California federal court that accuses the companies of falsely advertising and promoting an ineffective muscle and joint pain supplement.  

FlexAid Advanced Triple Action Joint Formula fails to improve joint comfort within five days, as its packaging promises, according to the suit. Claims that the pills help relieve joint pain, promote flexibility, and support joint cartilage and connective tissue are hollow because they aren't supported by scientific evidence, the suit says....
