Portuguese Shipper Pays $1M To Settle Pollution Charges

Law360, Dallas (April 22, 2013, 7:25 PM EDT) -- Portuguese shipper Cimpship Transportes Maritimos SA paid $1 million to settle charges it conspired to willfully pollute waterways in East Texas by failing to maintain an oil record book, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Monday.
