Chevron Tells Court 'Hot Fuel' MDL Isn't Ready For A Jury

Law360, Chicago (April 23, 2013, 8:04 PM EDT) -- Chevron USA Inc. on Monday told a Kansas federal court it was too soon to consider whether an impartial jury could be impaneled in California to decide a trio of certified class actions the court is overseeing that allege it sold gas in California without accounting for temperature expansion.

Chevron said that while a California court could not build an impartial jury in the three cases at issue because those jurors would have a stake in the litigation, any motion by the company on the issue...
