SEC Probes GM Pension Accounting

Law360, New York (October 26, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Securities and Exchange Commission has asked General Motors Corporation to provide information about its pension and healthcare plans as part of a formal investigation into the company’s alleged pension manipulation.

The SEC has subpoenaed DaimlerChrysler as part of the investigation, seeking records of communications it may have had with GM.
