CORRECTED: Ex-Hevesi Aide Jailed For Investment Scheme Wins Parole

Law360, New York (April 25, 2013, 11:45 AM EDT) -- A former top aide to New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi received parole Monday after serving two years for his involvement in a pay-to-play investment scheme involving New York state's pension fund.

Henry “Hank” Morris will be released from Hudson Correctional Facility after a parole board ruled on his release bid Monday, the state said.

"Mr. Morris’s release is long overdue," his attorney Orlee Goldfeld said.  "He is looking forward to coming home."
