'Dora The Explorer' Actress Asks 2nd Circ. To Kill Settlement

Law360, New York (April 24, 2013, 7:12 PM EDT) -- An actress who voiced the title character of TV show "Dora the Explorer" asked the Second Circuit on Wednesday to reverse her court-approved settlement with Viacom International Inc., saying the lower court didn't follow procedure for deals involving minors.

A judge let a settlement between actress Caitlin Sanchez and Viacom, which indirectly owns the "Dora" franchise, to go forward without following special procedures required when a litigant is a minor, Sanchez’s lawyer, Daniella Quitt of Harwood Feffer LLP, told a three-judge panel at oral arguments....
