Olshan Hit With $12M Malpractice Suit Over NYC Hotel

Law360, New York (April 25, 2013, 3:24 PM EDT) -- A New York City developer sued law firm Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP in New York state court Wednesday, claiming attorney Hyman Kindler drafted a “useless” agreement with a neighboring building that caused the developer to lose its hotel project and at least $12 million.

The developer, 180 Ludlow Development LLC, had been working to build an approximately 20-story, 170-room boutique hotel on the Lower East Side street to be known as Hotel Ludlow and hired Olshan in 2007 to represent it in the development process....
