Germany Criticizes Google, Facebook In Privacy Report

Law360, New York (April 25, 2013, 1:47 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. and Facebook Inc.'s collection of user data in Europe partially violates local data protection laws, a German technology watchdog said Wednesday.

Despite continuing conversations with Google and Facebook about privacy issues, concerns still remain, the office of Germany's Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information said in a statement regarding the release of a data protection covering the years 2011 and 2012.
