GE Dodges Defective Washing Machine Suit

Law360, New York (April 30, 2013, 6:36 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Tuesday booted a putative class action accusing General Electric Co. of manufacturing defective washing machines, ruling that appliance owners did not provide nearly enough detail about key aspects of their claims.

GE convinced U.S. District Judge William J. Martini that the lack of even basic information about the allegations doomed the suit.
