L'Oreal Hit With Class Action Over Lead In Lipstick

Law360, New York (January 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- L’Oreal SA and its United States subsidiary have been hit with a proposed class action alleging the French cosmetics company knowingly sold lipsticks that contained harmful levels of lead.

In a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, consumer Don’s Frye claimed L’Oreal’s Colour Riche lipstick in True Red and Classic Wine colors contain dangerous levels of lead.
