Railroads Ask DC Circ. To Ax Class Cert. In Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, Washington (May 3, 2013, 7:09 PM EDT) -- The four largest U.S. freight railroad companies asked a D.C. Circuit panel Friday to throw out the certification of a massive class of direct purchasers that claim the companies fixed shipping prices, saying the purchasers never proved their injuries resulting from the alleged scheme.

According to the railroad giants' counsel Carter G.
