Starwood Capital Snaps Up $159M Conn. Mixed-Use Center

Law360, New York (May 6, 2013, 2:28 PM EDT) -- Private equity firm Starwood Capital Group and affiliate Starwood Retail Partners announced Monday that they have scooped up a large Connecticut mixed-use center — with office, residential, retail and other space — from a joint venture that developed the project for about $158.8 million in 2008.

Developers Ronus Properties LLC, Street-Works LLC and JDA Development sold the 450,000-square-foot property for an undisclosed price, adding yet another major retail-anchored property to the one-year-old Starwood Retail's portfolio, according to a statement.
