Sens. Propose Watch List Of Foreign Cybercriminals

Law360, Los Angeles (May 7, 2013, 10:04 PM EDT) -- A bipartisan group of senators proposed legislation Tuesday that would require federal authorities to develop a watch list of foreign countries that steal U.S. companies' commercial data and to block the importation of any products containing stolen U.S. technology.

The Deter Cyber Theft Act aims to prevent computer espionage and the theft of commercial data by mandating that the director of national intelligence compile an annual report on foreign economic and industrial espionage and detail how U.S. authorities are combating cybercrime.
