NJ Lawmaker Revives Pay Equality Bills Felled By Veto

Law360, New York (May 8, 2013, 8:32 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey assemblywoman on Monday reintroduced a pair of bills aimed at eliminating gender-based pay disparities in the state, her second attempt to get the legislation passed after Gov. Chris Christie shot the bills down last year.

Assemblywoman Pamela R. Lampitt, D-Burlington, reanimated the gender parity bills, which she put forth last year as a four-bill package designed to tackle the issue from different angles, but only one of the bills won Christie’s approval.
