$2B Cornell Tech Campus Gets NYC Council Green Light

Law360, New York (May 9, 2013, 1:34 PM EDT) -- The New York City Council gave its final approvals Wednesday to Cornell University and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology's plan to build a $2 billion science and technology campus on Roosevelt Island.

With a 46-2 vote, the council granted several zoning requests that will, among other things, establish a special district for the new campus, according to city documents.
