Rida Rescues $824M Colo. Convention Hotel Project

Law360, New York (May 9, 2013, 5:56 PM EDT) -- Colorado officials announced Thursday that Houston-based Rida Development Corp. is stepping in to develop an $824 million convention center hotel, after the project stalled amidst the original developer Gaylord Entertainment Co. selling off its hotel business last year.

The news was announced at an Economic Development Commission meeting that Rida will be stepping in to develop the planned 1,500-room resort and convention hotel in Aurora, Colo., Kathy Green, a spokeswoman for the overseeing state office, confirmed to Law360.
