FAQs On Calif.'s New Pregnancy Regulations

Law360, New York (June 3, 2013, 12:48 PM EDT) -- Employers with workforces in California should take note of the regulations, effective Dec. 30, 2012, which provide detailed rules on pregnancy leave and discrimination and disability discrimination and reasonable accommodation. These regulations, which apply to state, county and local agencies and to all private sector employers employing five or more persons, were issued by the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission shortly before it went out of business as part of Gov. Brown’s 2012 budget plan.
