Realty Co. Demands $16M In Fees From Midtown Lease Deal

Law360, New York (May 14, 2013, 7:20 PM EDT) -- A New York City realty group claimed on Tuesday that it is owed more than $16 million in commission fees after being shouldered out of a lease transaction at a Midtown South office building in violation of a 25-year-old brokerage agreement.

Dakota Realty Group LLC claims it was cut out of a deal by 114 Fifth Avenue Associates LLC — with which it has had a standing agreement since 1987 — to create a long-term ground lease at the century-old office building, saying the company failed...
