Sequester Cuts Will Cause Long-Term Pain, House Dems Say

Law360, New York (May 15, 2013, 8:30 PM EDT) -- House Democrats said Wednesday that the automatic budget cuts known as sequestration are a counterproductive way to reduce budget deficits, arguing short-term austerity creates a drag on economic growth and plays havoc with funding for defense and other government programs.
