'Girls Gone Wild' Founder Says Marketing Co. Isn't Subsidiary

Law360, New York (May 15, 2013, 7:20 PM EDT) -- "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis on Tuesday said the trustee overseeing the company’s bankruptcy should not be allowed to declare bankruptcy for GGW Marketing LLC in a bid to recover alleged trademark transfers because GGW Marketing is not a subsidiary of the bankrupt company.

Last week, Trustee R. Todd Neilson sought bankruptcy protection for GGW Marketing partly to recover the allegedly fraudulent transfer of the "Girls Gone Wild" trademarks to Nevis-based Path Media Holdings LLC, which is owned by an offshore trust.
