Boston Panel Greenlights 2 Hotels For $2B Seaport Project

Law360, New York (May 17, 2013, 2:14 PM EDT) -- The Boston Redevelopment Authority gave its thumbs-up Thursday night on two proposed, mid-priced hotel projects that will be branded under Starwood Hotel Corp. flags and that could herald in a $2 billion expansion plan for the city's seaport-area convention and exhibition center.

In a unanimous vote, the board gave its approval on several zoning changes that would allow design and development work to continue on the proposed hotels, a restaurant and parking lot, which together are estimated to cost $190 million.
