Panasonic, Toshiba Targeted In Latest Display Patent Case

Law360, New York (May 20, 2013, 1:13 PM EDT) -- Graphic Properties Holdings Inc. lodged a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission on Friday accusing Panasonic Corp., Toshiba Corp. and others of importing televisions, tablets and other devices that infringe the company's patents for digital display technology.

GPH — a licensing entity that inherited the intellectual property of bankrupt Silicon Graphics Inc. — asked the trade commission to investigate whether the electronics companies violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, which bars the import of products that infringe American patents.
