Insurers Dodge Coverage For Kardashian False Ad Suit

Law360, New York (May 21, 2013, 2:32 PM EDT) -- A federal judge said Monday that two insurers did not owe coverage to Tria Beauty Inc. in false advertising litigation involving its spokeswoman Kim Kardashian because Tria made the claims for coverage outside of the policy period and an intellectual property exclusion applied.

Tria, a beauty product manufacturer that makes the Tria Hair Removal Laser, filed a coverage claim with National Fire Insurance Co. of Hartford and Travelers Property Casualty Co. of America after it and Kardashian were hit with counterclaims in its own 2010 false...
