Stryker Wins Dismissal Of Squeaky Hip Implant Case

Law360 (January 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has dismissed a proposed class action product liability case against hip joint replacement maker Howmedica Osteonics Corp., ruling that the plaintiffs’ claims failed to meet the pleading standard.

Judge Jose Linares of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey granted the motion of Howmedica, which does business as Stryker Orthopedics, dismissing the suit brought last year by Jama Parker and Tracy Huber.
