Porn Troll Hit With More Fines For Not Paying Sanctions

Law360, New York (May 22, 2013, 5:29 PM EDT) -- A judge who sanctioned so-called porn copyright troll Prenda Law this month and said it should face racketeering charges rejected the firm's bid to stay the punishment Tuesday and began fining it $7,000 for every day it doesn't pay the sanctions.

Arguing that his $81,319 sanctions order violated the firm's due process rights and "undermines the public's trust in our judicial system," Prenda asked U.S. District Judge Otis Wright Monday to stay the order pending an appeal.
