Apple Can't Change Patent Conception Dates, Samsung Says

Law360, New York (May 29, 2013, 5:40 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. ripped Apple Inc. on Tuesday for allegedly making a last-minute change to the conception dates for several of the patents the iPhone maker has asserted in the companies' sprawling smartphone patent case in California federal court.

The Korean tech giant said Apple asked to push back the dates of conception — the marker of when an inventor mentally formulated a complete invention — in April after five full months of fact discovery and with only three months remaining before the court's deadline....
