Hospital Chain Slapped With Class Action Suit

Law360, New York (November 10, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Former executives of embattled hospital chain HCA Inc. are now not only the subject of a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation, but also of a class action lawsuit alleging they made false statements to inflate the company's stock price.

The suit, filed by Lerach Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins on behalf of the Western Pennsylvania Electrical Employees Pension Fund, claims that several of the company’s officers, including CEO Jack O.
