Chunghwa Strikes Deal With Calif. In LCD Price-Fixing Suit

Law360, San Francisco (June 3, 2013, 7:37 PM EDT) -- A California state judge gave final approval Monday to a $300,000 deal between Chunghwa Picture Tubes Ltd. and the state of California to settle claims that the Taiwanese company conspired to fix prices on liquid-crystal displays that were sold to government agencies.

San Francisco Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer called the settlement amount fair in light of parallel multidistrict litigation in California federal court, in which Chunghwa contributed to a $1 billion settlement over a massive LCD price-fixing scheme.
