Pentagon Awards $36M In 'Plan X' Cyberwarfare Contracts

Law360, New York (June 4, 2013, 12:38 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded about $36 million in contracts to Data Tactics Corp. and Raytheon Co. to construct more automated and more intuitive cyberwar capabilities as part of the government’s “Plan X” cyberwarfare initiative, the government said Friday.

Data Tactics won a $25.8 million award to develop a “real-time extensible infrastructure and framework” that will aid in managing and storing data to meet the needs of “heavy cyber battle-space analytics,” the DOD said in an award notice.
