Sen. Bashes Liability Shield For Cybersecurity Standards

Law360, New York (June 5, 2013, 5:43 PM EDT) -- Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., on Tuesday pushed the federal government to refrain from granting liability protections to companies that agree to adopt cybersecurity standards being crafted under a recent executive order, saying the shield would do little to encourage them to improve their cybersecurity.
