DOD Official Says Sequester Will Hit Small Contractors Hard

Law360, New York (June 5, 2013, 2:27 PM EDT) -- Cutbacks in federal spending stemming from sequestration may continue into next year and will disproportionately impact small businesses, the U.S. Department of Defense's top acquisition official said Monday.

Frank Kendall, the Defense Department's undersecretary of acquisition, technology and logistics, told a U.S. Navy industry forum that small operators will feel the sting of sequestration much more so than large military contractors.
